Released June 2009
IDOT has also released an Excel spreadsheet of FY2010 estimates for cities with populations fewer than 500 in regards to RUTF and TIME-21 estimates and the amount that is transferred to the counties through Farm-to-Market Extensions.
Released May 2009
The Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) has released updated Road Use Tax Fund (RUTF) forecasts indicating per capita city street funds which are approximately:
- $89.50 for Fiscal Year 2010
- $92.50 for Fiscal Year 2011
- $95.50 for Fiscal Year 2012
- $97.50 for Fiscal Year 2013 and Fiscal Year 2014
Released January 2009
The updated RUTF/TIME-21 estimates for Fiscal Year(FY) 2009 are now available. It is very important to note that the FY 2009 RUTF estimate INCLUDES TIME-21 revenue(http://iowadot.gov/time21/index.htm). This is because the TIME-21 revenue will be distributed as part of your regular monthly allocations of City Street Fund revenue. The FY 2009 revenue reflects updated estimates of both RUTF and TIME-21 funding. RUTF revenue is lower than previously forecast primarily due to decreasing fuel tax revenue. The TIME-21 revenue is generally lower than previously forecast due to refinement of the estimating methodology and a decrease in forecast pickup truck sales.
The spreadsheet also includes separate TIME-21 ONLY estimates for FY 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. It also includes estimates for the transfer to county amounts for Cities under 500 in population.
