Budget Workshop Series

Preparing a city budget can be a daunting task, even for experienced city officials. Join the Iowa League of Cities along with the Iowa Department of Management as we provide our annual review of the city budget process. Scheduled annually in late November and early December, League staff provides a review of the budget projections and issues, while the Department of Management provides a review of the state budget requirements. Following lunch, a session on Beginning Budgeting is offered for those facing their first budget cycle while a concurrent session is offered for experienced clerks and finance officers.
